GateHouse Media, Inc. is seeking a Director of Consumer Marketing. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of the Internet as it relates to sales and marketing, i.e. paid search, affiliates and affiliate networks, SEO and customer engagement, with the ultimate goal of driving revenue from and building loyalty among our existing customer base and membership programs.
Responsibilities
• This position requires the ability to multi-task, get into the details quickly and hit the ground running.
• This person should be ROI-focused and will be responsible for strategy, segmentation, execution and management.
• Develop strategies to efficiently scale new customer acquisition through multiple online and newspaper marketing channels.
• Plan and evaluate programs that increase conversion of readers and site visitors to subscribers.
• Working knowledge of online customer acquisition techniques and CPM/CPC/CPA strategies, strong working knowledge of Internet, performance, and direct-response advertising models.
• Analyze marketing results using analytics and numeric data analysis
• Work with and across multiple product teams.
• Create and execute programs to drive consumer acquisition, retention, and usage frequency
Requirements
• 5+ years brand management and/or product marketing experience for a consumer-focused company and ideally, several of these years would have been spent working in an Internet or start-up environment.
• Strategic thinker with an expertise in marketing, planning and implementation.
• Must possess strong interpersonal and leadership skills, and be able to build relationships across cross-functional teams.
• Deep knowledge of multimedia and trends
• Strong strategic and analytical skill set
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
• Strong project management skills.
• Results oriented and self-motivated.
• BA required, MBA preferred.
